Falcons set to host OCAA Golf Championships
Fanshawe Athletics will be playing host to the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) Golf Championships held at the FireRock Golf and Country Club from October 2 to October 4. Fanshawe's team will hope to improve upon their 2005 result where they could only muster a 2nd place finish in the division two standings.

Mason leading Fanshawe cross-country team
On September 16 the Fanshawe Falcon cross-country team competed in the Redeemer/Mohawk Invitational cross-country meet. John Mason captured the gold medal in the men's 8km race, improving upon last years bronze medal. The men's team took home the silver medal and the female team finished fifth overall.

Gordon takes over for MacKay
Kevin Gordon has been named the head-coach for the Fanshawe College women's basketball team after taking over for Lori MacKay, who gave birth to her second child in late August. Gordon, who is a certified level-two coach in both basketball and fastball, said he is thrilled with this new opportunity. “I am very excited to be taking over a program with such a rich tradition of success,” Gordon said.

London Knights coming to Fanshawe
Students at Fanshawe will have the opportunity to meet players from the London Knights on Saturday October 7 as the Arthritis Society is hosting their second annual “Score for Arthritis”, a charity event sponsored by the London Knights, Scotia Bank, and the Fanshawe Student Union. Knights players will be available for autographs, photographs and other sports related activities. Tickets are $10.00 and are available at the Biz booth or any London Scotia Bank location.

Men's soccer sitting with 1-0-3 record
After a solid start to the season, defeating St. Clair 2-1 in the season opener, the Fanshawe men's soccer team has stumbled into mediocrity since. After rattling off draws to Redeemer (0-0), Humber (1-1), and Mohawk (2-2) the Falcons will hope to rebound with games against Cambrian on October 1, and Sheridan on October 4.
