From the Editor
Welcome back Fanshawe students,
staff, faculty and community
members to week two of back
to classes (since the strike) and to
another week of the Interrobang.
This issue, which happens to be our second to last one before the holiday break rolls around, is filled with a number of different stories that are equally interesting, yet different enough that will make you want to read each one thoroughly.
First in our news section, one of our reporters spoke with Levi Hord, a Western University student who recently won a prestigious Rhodes Scholarship for their research on topics surrounding the transgender community. The award allows Hord to study at Oxford University for two years and has been given to such recipients such as former Canadian Prime Minister John Turner, and former U.S. President Bill Clinton.
The Interrobang staff thought this was such an accomplishment and an honour for Hord, which is why we chose to include this as our cover story. The fact that they reside in London for the time being is even better and supporting the City's other post-secondary institutions is the only way to go.
This issue also covers the accomplishment of another London based individual, Laura Metansinine, won was recently named among the top five hairstyling students in Canada, which is a pretty amazing accomplishment.
This issue also covers some student reactions and concerns over the impact of the Ontario Colleges' Faculty Strike, as well as a police initiative to help keep the city's roads safer for everyone.
There are also some opinion pieces, an artist profile of a Fanshawe Music Industry Arts (MIA) student, a review of Taylor Swift's Reputation and a fitness piece.
We also included a recap of the London Knights' last two late November games and some new of the men's curling team finally being awarded their rings for winning the 2017 Canadian Collegiate Athletics Association (CCAA) National Championships.
The Interrobang staff hope you do enjoy reading up on all the latest news and event we have brought to your attention, and also hope this issue keeps you busy reading until our next one is out on Dec. 11.
