3M supports Fanshawe with corporate sponsorship

Sponsorship of over $100, 000 for Continuing Education courses at Fanshawe College for the next three years has been donated to the college by 3M. The deal will ensure the continued enhancement of learning opportunities and education for students of the College.

“3M has always been committed to the growth and development of the London community,” President and General Manager of 3M Canada, Ian Hardgrove said.

“Fanshawe College is a key competitive advantage for the City of London and essential to our future growth. Reinforcing the link between learning and the workplace is a major theme reflected in this new sponsorship that further strengthens our relationship with Fanshawe College.”

Hardgrove visited the college to outline the deal and meet with President Howard Rundle.

Currently in the midst of a $15 million fundraising campaign, the college lists student success as one of its top priorities. The 3M sponsorship will help the college's continued effort of strengthening the competitiveness of the community.

Rundle said the relationship with 3M is very advantageous for Fanshawe.

“We are fortunate to have the ongoing support and involvement of 3M at Fanshawe,” Rundle said. “3M actively participates at the College; from career fairs to guest lecturing to attending part-time and continuing studies. I am particularly proud to note that close to 200 3M employees are Fanshawe College graduates.”
