This week at the X

The X team had a busy week broadcasting live from the College Information Program, carving pumpkins in the Oasis and spinnin' our wheel at That Party Place.

The CIP event took place in J gym. It was a very informative session and a lot of people came and took advantage of the opportunity to learn about the programs within Fanshawe as well as other colleges across Ontario.

The Pumpkin carve was a gooey success! Many creative pumpkins were carved and showcased in the Broadcast Centre. Kristy Crawford's artistic carving skills of “Big Mouth Eddie” won her tickets to the Haunted Hay Ride at Fanshawe Pioneer Village. Congratulations Kristy and special thanks goes out to all who came out and joined in on our Pumpkin Carving Contest!

The Live on Location that took place on Thursday, October 19 at That Party Place went great! Lots of people came out, gave our wheel a spin to win gift certificates, CD's, candy and much more.

Something new that we began last week was our high school dance parties. We were very excited to head over to Clarke Road on Thursday and to Banting on Friday. We had special guests co-hosting the morning show on The X; two members of student counsel from Clarke on Thursday, and from Banting on Friday.

Our brand new on-air games will officially kick off on Monday, October 30. Be sure to tune in as there will be trivia involved and tons of free swag to give away.

We will be doing a special live to air from Jim Bob Ray's on October 31 for Halloween-decorations will be provided by That Party Place! And will be at Ice Lounge for Freezer Friday's.

We ended the week off with a bang at Club Phoenix on Sunday for Pimp'N Ho Halloween Ball. Hosted by the Stag Shop, it was also the launch party for London Social Magazine and Playboy Playmate Taylor James made an appearance.

Make sure you check back next week for new up and coming events on your favorite station, 106.9 The X.
