A pair of Much Music comedians will be making stomachs hurt from laughter when they make a stop in London on March 25.

Debra DiGiovanni and Trevor Boris combine together to form an entertaining comedic duo who are touring various locations in Ontario, including London, in support of the Debra and Trevor Comedy Tour. DiGiovanni and Boris helped gain their noteriety from their regular appearneces on the Much Music television show “Video on Trial.”

DiGiovanni said participating in the show has been a very valuable publicity tool for her personally.

“It was a very valuable connection for me and the best possible public relations I could have gotten,” DiGiovanni said “It also opened up my comedy to the younger crowd.”

DiGiovanni said “Video on Trial” has been a very fun experience for her and meeting Boris through the show was vital to the realization of the two comedians tour.

“It has been a surreal experience doing the show,” DiGiovanni said. “I knew Trevor before (the show), but I got more friendly with him through it. We had the same type of energy, so when the show gained more popularity it made sense for us to take advantage of it.”

With DiGiovanni and Boris headlining each tour date, the pair's comedy tour consists of stand-up comedy from both DiGiovanni and Boris, as well as special guest appearneces from various other comedians.

“You are basically going to laugh for two straight hours if you attend our show, and your stomach should be hurting the next day from laughing too much,” DiGiovanni said.

“If you like us in the show (“Video on Trial”) then you will really enjoy our tour.”

DiGiovanni said her passion for comedy started in her early 20's but she never fully commited to it as a career until she was 28-years-old and after attending Humber College's inaugural Comedy Writing and Performance course.

“I had taken a couple courses after high school and a few professors pulled me aside and told me that I was in the wrong program, and that I should be entertaining people,” DiGiovanni said.

Boris has also been on stage several times over the past two years at Fanshawe, headlining comedy nights at the Shack.
