Elections coming to campus
In preparation for the upcoming provincial elections, the college is setting up advanced voter registration, as well as voting on-campus for students and staff.
The registration dates are September 17 and 18, and a booth will be set up in both residencies for students who have never voted before, or those now living on campus, to register to cast a ballot in this years election.
Advanced polling will start on September 25 and run through October 4 on campus, whereas on the day of the election voting will take place at John Paul II High School on the corner of Oxford and Highbury Streets.
Students must be 18 years of age and be a Canadian citizen to be eligible to vote, and must bring a proof of address with them when registering to vote.
