Ahhh.... Spring Break

So, you are back to school, the weather is horrible and all you can think is, “Why the hell am I not somewhere hot and sunny where there is a nice sandy beach and the beer flows like wine?”

Well, we are in week three of the second semester and there is one month to go till Spring Break, and I bet you didn't know there is a free trip up for grabs to Panama City Beach Florida through Breakaway Tours.

You are probably thinking to yourself, “How can I win this free trip?”

All you have to do is come to any basketball or volleyball home, game or all of them, to increase your chances and enter to win at the entrance desk, it's that easy. There are lots of games remaining and the draw is February 8 at the last Basketball home game of the season and you must be there to claim your prize.

You can look forward to that and Spring Break, or you could use these simple tips to create your own getaway in the comforts of your own home.

- First, crank the heat up in your apartment or house.

- Second, grab a fan (everybody loves a good breeze).

- Third, mix up a nice drink (something refreshing like a margarita).

- Fourthly, (if that's even a word*) slip into your beach trunks or bikini.

- Fifthly, close your eyes, feel the heat and breeze and then jump into a tub full of cold water when you get too hot.

I have been doing this since snow hit the ground and I am cool, so do what cool people do, unfortunately my OSAP has already run out due to the extra heat costs, but it is well worth it.

* Yes, ‘fourthly' is a word. In fact, it's an adverb.
