Locked out without ID

After Tokyo Police Club cancelled their first on-campus show due to poor weather, my friends and I were extremely disappointed. When they rescheduled, we rushed to buy our tickets. A friend from UWO was going to be joining us, so we picked up a guest ticket for her. Having just come to Fanshawe College this semester, none of us had been to a campus pub. I asked the ticket seller what identification, **IF ANY** my off-campus friend would need to bring to the show. She said that all she would need was her ticket, and her UWO student card. That's it. Since she was not going to be drinking at the show, she did not bring her ID. She did, however, bring her UWO campus card and show ticket, as was instructed. My friend was not allowed in without ID, so none of us saw the band perform... Instead, we went to a pub downtown, where my 22-year-old UWO friend was not even asked for ID.

To the people in charge, either know your stuff or have your students go to off-campus shows. There are some really dedicated fans out there - who just happen to be wanting their money back.
