The best things in life

Sleeping on a rainy day:
There is nothing better than sleeping on a rainy day in that big comfy bed of yours. With the blankets pulled up as high as they can go and your head nestled deep in you pillow. At this moment you have nothing to listen to but the soothing sounds of the rainfall.

Holding hands with someone you love:
Every time she/he grabs your hand you become aware of how much she/he loves you and means to you. Holding hands is a very subtle way to showcase your love for each other, yet it's very sensual and physically intimate. There are few people you allow to hold your hand, so when it happens it's extra special.

Skinny dipping:
Personally I've never done this, honest, but I hear it's an amazing rush. Apparently there is nothing like the water hitting your naked body as you swim. Also, there is something that feels good about it being naughty and at night when no one is around.

Reminiscing about old times with your closest friends:
There is nothing better than sitting around with a glass of vino in your hand and looking back at all the crazy and fun things you all used to do together. It is great to reminisce about the past with those closest to you who share the same memories of times spent together.

Receiving a real letter the old-fashioned way:
E-mail has become the primary source of written communication, and although nice it just doesn't have the same touch as receiving a real written letter. Next time you think about sending that special someone a hello or simply wanting to say you miss them, write it in ink and perhaps even send it scented. The recipient will love it that much more.

Finding money:
Have you ever walked down the street, or dug deep inside a pocket of a coat you haven't worn since last winter? It's a nice feeling when you find money. No matter the amount, it's more than you had moments before you found it.

Realizing you have more time to sleep:
Sometimes we wake up to the sound of nothing, and think it may be time to wake up and start yet another day. Then we notice it's nowhere near getting up time, so we roll over and continue to snooze.

People watching:
Everyone does it. People who are out on their lunch break, or even people who are taking that spinning class right beside you. We watch people who are tall, short, skinny or even those who are pleasantly plump going about their daily activities' like it's nobody's business.

Receiving an unexpected compliment:
It's been an average day. Nothing really great has happened, but nothing terrible occurred either. It doesn't mean it would kill you to pay someone an unexpected compliment. So ladies, the next time you notice a girl wearing an amazing pair of stilettos, tell her you love her shoes and it will make her day.

Laughing uncontrollably:
Laughter is the greatest cure of all. Life is extraordinary in the moments when you are laughing so hard you can barely breathe. These moments are all but too few and when they do happen it appears all your worries disappear for that split second.

Making someone smile:
It doesn't involve rocket science here. So next time you're out on the town greet a complete stranger by saying hello and who knows, you might just make their day a little more special in a simplified way.

Finishing what you started:
You just finished up a big project you've been working on for the last few months, or maybe you just finished your first marathon… Either way, you finalized what you set out to accomplish. The feeling of self-accomplishment you get when you finish what you started is by far one of the most rewarding simple pleasures life has to offer.
