I have personally been a fan of David Beckham since Posh Spice, also known as Victoria Beckham who I adore, started dating him back in 1996. The famous couple married in 1999 in a vintage castle in Ireland.

Guys love and look up to Beckham and so do girls, for obvious reasons. He is quoted as saying he is very honoured to be a metro-sex symbol. He isn't your average stereo-type jock athlete and womanizer the papers and magazines at times make him out to be. He is a very soft spoken and is never stumbling out of a bar or being quoted saying any kind of rude or crude comments.

David truly loves fashion, shopping and designer clothes and always makes it on any best dressed male list. He admits to having a big collection of shoes, and Victoria jokes he has a bigger wardrobe than she does. He has even made money off his love for fashion, by signing on to endorsements, most recently he can be spotted in Armani underwear ads, Pepsi ads and Motorola's new MOTORAZR2 V8 Luxury Edition phone. He has also worked for Adidas, dvb fragrance and Police Sunglasses, as well as many oversees commercials.

Beckham is just as famous for what he wears as he is for his hairstyles, he can be personally held responsible for the modern day Mohawk. He himself confesses to be addicted to getting tattoos and has 16 of them and counting. His tattoos range in symbolic meanings for he has his wife Victoria's name and portrait, the date they renewed their vows, the names of their three boys, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and religious symbols.

Despite his interests in fashion, hair and being on the cover of countless tabloids, Beckham is best know for his work on the soccer pitch. He is currently on contract with the American Major League Soccer Club L.A. Galaxy, although there are rumours he may be making the move to Milan.

For appealing to such a broad range of people David Beckham remains very humble. It is said that he is known for being the only guy left standing around after a practise, making sure he has signed as many autographs as he can. David has created a soccer academy for both boys and girls, called The David Beckham Academy. The academy is located in London, England and in L.A.
