Share and enjoy cultural diversity

Fanshawe College's International Club is off to a great start with over 100 members. The Club has been active with student orientation, information workshops and cultural activities. The club is open to all Fanshawe students interested in learning about cultural diversity and making internationalization part of the Fanshawe community. Upcoming events include Thanksgiving dinner, Moon Festival celebration, Niagara Falls trip, as well as Halloween Hunt at Canada's Wonderland. If you are interested, please visit us in the International Office in E2025 or email Fanshawe International Club at fanshaweic@gmail.com.

The International Student Host Program is also available for Fanshawe students. It is designed to assist Fanshawe's International students as well as English Second Language speakers to adjust to life in Canada by partnering with a student host. It helps both students understand and appreciate different cultures. For the student host you will meet new people from around the world, understand global issues and multiculturalism, learn a new language, and develop a new friendship. For the student partner you will develop a new friendship and learn and experience Canadian customs and traditions. For information contact Amani Radhaa at aradhaa@fanshawec.ca or visit the International Office in E2025.

Conversation Circles are available every Tuesday and Wednesday from 12-1 p.m. in T1019 and 1-2 p.m. in T1009. It is a great place to meet, chat, eat, and enjoy conversation with students from all around the world. English speaking volunteers are always welcome. For further information please contact Beverly Haggerty at bhaggerty@fanshawec.ca.
