Zombieland simply amazing flick

Zombieland (2009)

Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) firmly believes that he is still alive in the now zombie-populated world because of his set of rules. Though he's been a loner most of his life, he finds himself clinging to fellow survivor Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) when their paths cross. While Columbus prefers to avoid the zombies, Tallahassee goes hunting right for them, priding himself on his creative and brutal killing tactics. The two set off, heading west, looking for a new place to call their home.

En route, they encounter two other survivors, sisters Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin), who con them out of their weapons and car. Throughout the film, the survivors continue to meet up, growing closer to one another, and teaching each other how to best survive in Zombieland.

Amazing! This movie had a little bit of everything. Though there was the inevitable blood and gore (but not too much), the plot was good: it was funny, scary at times, had some deep moments, and as well, touched upon the topics of love, friendship, and growth. While Eisenberg narrated the film, it followed all four main characters pretty equally. The opening credits, even, were amusing - showing zombies attacking people in super-slow motion. Then, there was also the great acting.

Eisenberg (Adventureland), while a relatively new actor to the scene, is very talented, and sometimes strangely similar to Michael Cera. Harrelson (Seven Pounds), a veteran in Hollywood, was made for this role. Stone (Superbad) was very entertaining, and I hope to see her in more movies soon, and although I have never been a fan of Breslin (My Sister's Keeper), I didn't mind her in this movie either. There was also a guest appearance by Bill Murray (who is the best ever)!

Overall, I went to this film expecting it to be good, but came out amazed that it was even better than I thought it ever could be! I was literally smiling when I walked out of the theatre. It's hard to explain all of the things that made this movie so great, but trust me, it was, and I recommend it to everyone.

Final Words: Saw it. LOVED IT! Really want to go see it again.
