Young, tough and ready to compete

This year's Falcon's men's basketball team is youthful, and full of rookies who are looking to show the coach, fellow players and fans what they are capable of on the court.

The coaches are looking for returning veterans to step up and guide the rookies during the season to help them get settled in. A main focus for the team this season will be how well they can come together and how they will be able to communicate and transition that into wins. This year will be full of adaptating for the newcomers, but the Falcons remain a tough team to beat as most of the rookies are top prospects in Ontario.

One player to keep your eye on will be Manny Campbell; he brings a high level of skill and energy to the court. He is a powerhouse at both ends of the court. Another to watch out for is veteran Pat Wright, he is a strong player and has no problem crashing the boards and putting up the points. Rookies to keep in mind are Earl Abraham and Darcy Young. Abraham shows his love for the game through his fast paced plays, while Young shows us what he is all about with his increasing amount of playing time.

With nationals on everyone's mind, this year's team makes it easy to envision the team remaining focused and goal driven, especially since Fanshawe will be hosting the provincial OCAA championship tournament this year, with a berth to the championships on the line and the team playing on its home court.
