Falcons swat Lions away in basketball
Heading into Lion's den at
Lambton, the Fanshawe Falcon's
men's basketball team looked to
continue their perfect season and
improve to 7-0.
“Tonight the guys need to come out and show good movement with the ball and their feet, finish on offence and get those rebounds,” said Falcons head coach Glenn Johnston. “Also I'd like to see the guys stay committed at the free throw line. This season we haven't been able to find our groove so this will be a big help. Lastly, I'd like to see the guys learn from their mistakes otherwise known as the fundamentals of the game. Every team will make mistakes but it's how the players learn from these mistakes that will pay off on the court.”

The game started off to a slow
start with the Falcon's getting a
feel of the game. Than the damage
began from three-point land as the
Falcon's lit the building up with
hot shooting from all players. Even
power forward Pat Wright was getting
his share of three pointers. The
Falcon's also took advantage of
poor fouls taken by Lambton and
had a solid free throw percentage.
Lambton played very poor
defense with no outside coverage
that Fanshawe took advantage of.
Fanshawe kept a tight zone
defense and forced Lambton to
make poor shots. The frustration
was easily visible on the Lions
bench.
