Here's what was buzzing around La-La land this week.

- While some say Jay Leno won the war, he may have only won a battle. Conan O'Brien has recently joked about being out of a job, yet is now in negotiations with Fox to host a late-night show for the network. According to the Associated Press, his ratings for Friday January 22 were up by 50 per cent higher than they have been this season, beating out David Letterman and ultimate rival Leno. Yet, will the viewers follow O'Brien to the new network once the hoopla dies down?

- As if the 90's Olympic ice-skating queen Nancy Kerrigan hasn't suffered enough scandal...remember Tonya Harding? Now Nancy's brother is under speculation for the killing of their father. Reportedly having an altercation with father Daniel, Mark Kerrigan supposedly began choking the elder, who then had a heart attack. According to Mark's lawyer, he suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder after serving in the army. He also pleaded not guilty to the assault charges.

- Once again rumours are swirling that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie splitting. And once again the pair are denying such allegations. Often a “busy work schedule” is used as a reason for their “strained marriage.” Yet Jolie commented in an MTV interview, that Pitt and her take turns working so that someone is always with the kids, supposedly to keep a sense of normalcy in their lives. The tabloids just want to see this power couple fail, since Jolie became a U.N. Ambassador and stopped carrying a vial of blood around her neck; the magazine stories just aren't as juicy.

- In response to Heidi Montag's drastic surgery, her husband Spencer claims that he was opposed to the procedures but understands it is her body. In People Magazine he states, “Nobody truly understands how she feels except her. I may not be okay with things, but it's not my call.” Spencer even had to nurse her during her seven-weeks of recuperation in which he says, “It was the worst experience of my life...nobody that loves a loved one should see that.” You know, as much as I dislike the guy, they sure seem to love and support each other, which slightly warms my heart.

- Finally, what celebrity update would be complete without talking about Tiger Woods. Ugh. New details have supposedly surfaced about the night of Tiger's car crash. Apparently, his wife Elin was suspicious of infidelity and posing as Tiger as she texted his one mistress Rachael Uchitel. As well, new reports say Elin is waiting for Tiger to complete his stint in sex-rehab before she finalizes the divorce. No Elin, stay away, stay far away. Just like the endorsement companies are doing.
