Social Justice Club Film Festival

The Fanshawe Social Justice Club is having another Film Festival this year, from February 1st to the 5th, each evening, in room D1041. Various local organizations will be showing films expressing a wide variety of economical, political and environmental issues that are of concern to the whole population. What goes on in other countries and what goes into our food is too often neglected.

Two organizations each night will be presenting movies starting on Monday the 1st. Groups such as Cinema Politica, The FMLN, The Rebbelles, The Social Justice Club, The Environmental Club, People for Peace, LACASA, Common Cause and Iconoclast will be showig movies, hoping to raise awarness about lingering global problems.

The first time slot on Monday is open to students from Digital Post Production and Advanced Film Making who are interested in showing their films. Also, there will be another available time slot towards the end of the week for any Fanshawe students who have any films or issues that they would like to bring up.

So come out, have some fun, and watch some thought provoking movies. Most of the subject matter and content expressed in the films is not information that the corporate owned media would want the public to play close attention to. It's our right to be fully informed citizens.
