Here's what happened in La-la land this week:

If you think your Valentine's Day was rather uneventful, dry your tears. It appears many celebs had a rather low-key day as well. Britney Spears and her boyfriend-manager Jason Trawick headed to the Golden Arches for some fast-food. Gwen Stefanie and Gavin Rossdale took their boys for a stroll down Beverly Boulevard in Beverly Hills. And in a grand gesture, Joshua Jackson flew to Berlin to be with his girlfriend Diane Kruger while she's on set. Oh romance.

Former party girl, Nicole Richie is making it legal with Joel Madden. The three-year relationship has already produced two children, Harlow and Sparrow. The announcement was made public during her Monday night appearance on The Late Show and she later Twittered, “Yeah, we've been engaged for a while so you're all kind of late on that. But thanks for the hooplah all the same.” It has been said former tiffs with BFF Paris have been reconciled, but I bet there's a little more “frenemy” jealousy now.

Johnny Depp's new movie Alice in Wonderland is already causing controversy. Some British cinemas are threatening to boycott the film, if the Disney Corporation shortens the interval time between theatre to home video. Disney wants to capitalize on DVD sales, reducing the regular 17 weeks to 12. On the flip side, in shrinking the window of release time, cinemas fear financial loss. With downloading, do people even buy DVDs anymore?

I love Betty White. Period. Apparently, I'm not the only one. Solidifying her popularity even more from her recent Snickers Super Bowl commercial, fans have started a Facebook movement for the 88-year-old to host Saturday Night Live. While the online group is more than 331,000 members strong, White has yet to receive a call from SNL creator Lorne Michaels.

Bachelor Jake Pavelka said good-bye to Gia. He blogged, “The rose ceremony was awful... I felt very protective over Gia and it made me feel about two feet tall breaking her heart...telling her goodbye was very painful.” Sorry everyone, the much-hated “villain” Vienna is one step closer to receiving a ring. During their date in St. Lucia Jake said he “...felt like two kids together playing.” While she may put a youthful spring in his step, many are skeptical if she is mature enough for marriage. We'll have to stay tuned.
