Falcons heat up the OCAAs

Men's volleyball sit at number two in OCAA
Rookie power Justin Guerin was dominant as he helped the Falcons to two road victories. Fanshawe traveled to North Bay on November 18 and defeated the Canadore Panthers 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-20) on Friday night and the Nipissing Lakers 3-0 (26-24, 25-22, 25-23) on Saturday November 19. Guerin led the way on both outings with 17 points (12 kills, 5 aces) and 13 points (13 kills) respectively. Fanshawe's 5-1 record places them atop the OCAA West standings and number two overall in the OCAA.

Women's volleyball end undefeated streak
The Falcons picked up their fifth win of the season as they defeated the Canadore Panthers (North Bay) 3-0 on November 18, however Fanshawe's undefeated record came to an end as the Falcons fell to Nipissing 3-0 the following night. Fanshawe Rookie Amy Smith picked up 15 points in each of the Falcons games. The Falcons still sit tied for first in the OCAA West division, and are third overall in the OCAA.

Men's basketball team rolls over Niagara
The Falcons men's basketball team defeated the Niagara Knights by a score of 75-60 on November 23rd. Pat Sewell led a potent Falcons attack with 25 points, and Dave Brown chipped in with 19 points. With a 4-2 mark, the Falcons sit tied atop the OCAA West division. Sewell leads the team with 19.6 points per game, placing him 13th in the OCAA.

Women's hoops sneak out win against Knights
The Fanshawe Falcons women's basketball team narrowly defeated the Niagara Knights 57-54 at home on November 23rd. Playing without head coach Lori McKay, who was suspended for two games after an incident at Durham College, the Falcons kept their undefeated 4-0 record in tact with the victory. The Falcons are ranked first in OCAA West , and are placed fifth overall in the OCAA.
