Have you ever been sitting around, minding your own business until you hear something so ridiculous you can't help but listen?

Remember that crazy thread that everyone started “Overheard at ... Fanshawe?” Well sadly, I could keep that going.

The other day I was waiting in Forwell for a friend to come meet me for lunch, when this group of girls came and sat at the table next to me. It felt like I was watching He's Just Not That Into You. All of these girls were comforting their friend who had just been “heartbroken.” I was trying so hard not to pay attention but they were killing me. I just wanted to say, “No he is not a jackass, he is not gay and he isn't busy; he's probably really scared of you.”

These girls were so intense, and the best part about it was the “heartbroken” girl who was saying that she knew he didn't like her. She also went on to say how she would message him every hour of every day asking him why he wasn't messaging her back. Put down your phone! I mean this in the most considerate way possible, but sometimes we need a reality check.

It makes me wonder, why does anyone put themselves through this? We're in college, and I'm sure more than one person has experienced this sort of crazy behaviour. Trust me though, just don't. It's not worth it; they are not worth it. You only end up making a total fool of yourself, and well, without being cliché, you're better than that. You break your own heart, so love the people who treat you right, and forget about the ones who don't. Most importantly, let go and face the facts: he isn't into you. This goes for everyone; guys don't be overbearing and stalker-like, it's not attractive, and ladies, don't overanalyze everything and make something out of nothing.
