Mimetic Entertainment is looking for a few good actors to be a part of their feature film Cheer For Your Life: The Diary of Lori Lang.

"Our goal is to get as much local talent as possible," said George Ibrahim, casting director for the film.

The dates for auditions are London, February 18 and 19; Windsor on February 20 and 21; and Toronto on March 5 and 6.

The movie is based on an original concept by Gavin Michael Booth and will be produced by Rob Merilees (Just Friends, Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, Hard Core Logo II, Capote). While Ibrahim couldn't reveal too much about the film, the story revolves around a high school cheerleader, Lori Lang, who constantly finds herself in situations where she must save the world.

"It's like Indiana Jones with pom-poms," said Ibrahim.

The film has secured theatrical distribution and is planning to film this summer in and around Windsor.

"Gavin has always been into the Windsor scene, he wants to make Windsor boom in the film industry," said Ibrahim.

There are about 12 parts to audition for that feature a range of age groups; however, if you can successfully pass for a high school student, you can qualify for those parts as well. But just because there are 12 parts listed, interested actors should not be deterred if they feel they can't relate to the roles. They are looking for lots of extras, he said.
