Fanshawe heads to the polls

Here at the FSU, we feel that a lot of work has been put into this year. We've accomplished many things — a revised code of conduct policy, a statement of students, FSU and College rights and responsibilities, the fsu.ca social network, extended health care benefits, big steps towards sustainability, improvement on the class rep system and a greater connection with our local and provincial communities. None of this work could have happened without our experienced staff and dedicated student leaders.

Next week you will have the opportunity to choose your new student leaders, who will take this organization into the next year. I hope that you have made the decision to vote. Inform yourself on who's running and engage them to see who they are and what they're hoping to accomplish for the students of Fanshawe.

This is your opportunity to get involved with the issues that affect you as a student. Don't be silent, get out and cast your vote!

Council debates begin on Monday, March 14 at noon in SC2012/2014. This is a great way to learn more about the candidates and decide who deserves your vote. Each candidate will make a speech on Tuesday, March 15, beginning at noon in Forwell Hall. Cast your vote on FanshaweOnline between March 14 at 9 a.m. and March 17 at 2 p.m. The announcement of who will be on the 2011/2012 student council will be made on Thursday, March 17 at 4 p.m. in Forwell Hall.
