Do your research before spouting off

Dear Editor:

I had a few things to say regarding the letter in the Janauary 30 Interrobang entitled "Staff still on strike?".

The author of that letter, Don Leveille, is misinformed about building maintenance at Fanshawe. The stain he referred to in his letter is not the responsibility of the support staff to clean up, but contractor Martin Building Maintenance. It is the responsibility of the Martin staff to clean classrooms, stairs, bathrooms and hallways each night. The janitorial support staff, who went on strike in September, are only here during the day, and are responsible for keeping washrooms cleaned and supplied, in addition to maintaining the cleanliness of the hallways.

If the stain so offends Mr. Leveille, perhaps he could clean it himself.
