NFL Czar: Mock draft, part one

It's that time of year again, folks! Time for the NFL Czar's annual NFL mock draft. Of course, a lot may change in the coming days when the dominos finish falling from the Peyton Manning signing in Denver, but I am going to do the best I can.

1. Indianapolis Colts select Andrew Luck, quarterback from Stanford — This one is pretty much set in stone. Unless the Colts pull a late swerve and grab RG3, Luck will take the field week one and attempt to replace Manning.

2. Washington Redskins select Robert Griffin III, quarterback from Baylor — After trading an insane amount of draft picks to the Rams, the Skins get their new franchise QB. RG3 has unbelievable talent, but he may lack the size to excel in the pros.

3. Minnesota Vikings select Matt Kalil, offensive tackle from USC — As the Vikes move forward with Christian Ponder at QB, goal number one has to be re-building the offensive line. Kalil will start right away and be a Pro Bowler in no time.

4. Cleveland Browns select Trent Richardson, running back from Alabama — While some may have them reach for Ryan Tannehill, I think the Browns stick with Colt McCoy for another year. Richardson will be the best RB the Browns have had since they returned to Cleveland.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Morris Claiborne, cornerback from LSU — After cleaning up in free agency, the Bucs take the next step towards a playoff berth by addressing their beat-up secondary.

6. St. Louis Rams select Justin Blackmon, wide receiver from Oklahoma State — So the Rams move back four spots, get a slew of picks and draft the same player I think they would have at number two. What a trade!

7. Jacksonville Jaguars select Riley Reiff, offensive tackle from Iowa — Iowa breeds tough, consistent offensive lineman, and the Jags need to jump on this one. He'll provide the stable presence needed on the line.

8. Miami Dolphins select Ryan Tannehill, quarterback from Texas A&M — After missing out on Manning, Matt Flynn and maybe even Alex Smith, the Dolphins will reach for a QB. Poor Matt Moore, he had a solid year, but the Dolphins are soooo eager to replace him.

9. Carolina Panthers select Melvin Ingram, defensive end from South Carolina — Either Ingram or Dontari Poe. Either way, the Panthers get a key piece for their front seven. He'll be the pass rusher they have missed since Julius Peppers left.

10. Buffalo Bills select David DeCastro, offensive guard from Stanford — Despite some decent tackles left on the board, the Bills grab the best guard prospect to come out since Steve Hutchinson. He'll anchor this line for next 10 years.

Well, that's all for now. Picks 11 through 20 are on tap for next week.
