Your dream summer job could be right under your nose

Now that March is here, you may be thinking ahead to your summer job. If so, then read on, because Interrobang wants YOU to apply to be a summer writer!

We're putting together a team of passionate, dedicated student writers to help us create the themed content for the 2013/14 school year. Summer writers will work full-time from May to August to put together feature stories for issues such as Sex Week, Addictions Awareness Week, Geek Pride, Environmental Week and more.

“Working as an Interrobang summer writer is a great opportunity for students to gain experience in a real newsroom and build up their writing portfolios, as well as work with a great team,” exclaimed John Said, manager of the Fanshawe Student Union's Publication and Communications department, which produces Interrobang each week.

Students do not have to be in a journalism program to apply, but they do need to be work study approved. Applications opened on March 4; to apply, go to fanshawebursaries.com and search for “Summer full-time work study” under the Winter 2013 term.

If you're interested in applying for this super-fun summer job, send your resume and a couple of writing samples to efaust@fanshawec.ca. Send newspaper/magazine articles you're proud of writing; research papers will be not accepted as writing samples. Please indicate in your email whether or not you've applied for the work study program. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email!
