World coming to an end

The end of days are near!

According to The House of Yahweh Newsletter, April 2006 Special Issue, the world will be engulfed in a “Nuclear war to start September 12, 2006”.

According to Pastor and Overseer Yisrayl Hawkins (formerly known as Buffalo Bill Hawkins) of The House of Yahweh, Abilene, Texas, “Yahweh has put together a small team of people…and there are many ways that you can be a part of this Last Days' Work and salvation”.

While end of the world prophecies have been going on for centuries, and sometimes include crazy bearded men in tattered clothes waving placards, Hawkins message is being heard around the world. In Kenya, members of The House of Yahweh are bracing themselves for the nuclear war and are building bunkers to take shelter.

But not everyone is a believer. Hare Krishna members outside Toronto International Airport are disputing Hawkins end of days claim when not busy chanting and passing out flowers.

“People think we are strange, walking around barefoot and chanting, but this Hawkins fellow has some strange ideas,” said a chanter who identified himself only as Yoda. “But this isn't the end of days, not yet at least. End of days is supposed to happen sometime during the
