Welcome back Fanshawe students, staff, faculty and community members to another issue of the Interrobang. This week my team and I bring to you a selection of interesting, yet important stories that showcase a number of events, practices, policies and overall positivity, that we hope our readers will enjoy.

First up, we have an update on the City of London’s stats and review for sexual assault cases and its unfounded rates. The city is also the first in the province to implement a sexual violence prevention strategy. Our team is dedicated to reporting on topics like this as best as we can and with the help from the College’s sexual violence prevention advisor, Leah Marshall.

Speaking of working with the College, out team was lucky enough to attend the grand opening of Fanshawe’s Student Wellness Centre and had an exclusive print and video interview with Olympian and mental health advocate Silken Laumann. Checkout our website (theinterrobang.ca) and social media pages to see the video and article (also featured in this paper).

We’d also like to introduce you to Fanshawe’s newly elected First Nations Student Association president and recapped some cool events put on by the Fanshawe Student Union (FSU).

With a few new movie, TV and album reviews, an update on FSU’s eSports club and some opinions pieces, this issue is packed with diverse information. Last but not least, this issue covers fantastic Fanshawe Falcons success with the College’s varsity men’s and women’s outdoor soccer teams, as well as the men’s baseball team. It’s always great to see the College’s sports team do so well and being able to report on their success is always a great feeling.

Add some news on the London Knights hockey team and a car review and you’re set to go for the week.

We hope our readers have as much of a good time reading this issue, as we did putting it together and it keeps them busy, but hungry for more. We’ll see you next week when the paper’s new issue hits newsstands on Oct. 9.

Happy reading,

Melissa Novacaska
