Welcome back Fanshawe students, staff, faculty and community members to another issue of the Interrobang.

This week, my team and I bring to you a selection of interesting, yet important and compelling stories that we hope you will enjoy reading.

First off, the Interrobang shed light on mental health and touched upon the College’s mental health initiatives, which are also in association with World Mental Health Day on Oct. 10. We also discovered a new mental health informational booth located at the downtown public library.

Next, one of our reporters dove into stories about a new comic book created by the Indigenous community in and around London. The book made its debut at the London’s Forest City Comic-Con convention a few weeks back.

This issue also covers a mobile tour of Ontario Colleges in recognition of the college system’s 50th anniversary. A 42-foot interactive trailer was the source for providing this tour that came to Fanshawe.

We also covered the aftermath of the University of Western Ontario’s “fake” homecoming titled FOCO and spoke to some students who participated in the event and city council to get their thoughts on the large party.

News about new, or improved programs in and around the College and London is also covered in this paper’s news section.

We also included a small update to the potential strike across 24 Ontario Colleges, the latest being Oct. 15 as the possible strike date. We will keep everyone informed with more information as soon as possible.

Add in some film and TV reviews and recommendations, a look at the next set of anime shows coming out, a band profile composed of Fanshawe Music Industry Arts (MIA) students and representatives and a fitness article about group exercise and you’re also all set to go.

Last, but not least, we profiled Fanshawe’s women’s basketball newest recruit and have the latest updates of the London Knights.

With these reads, we hope our readers have as much of a good time reading this issue, as we did putting it together and it keeps them busy, but hungry for more. We’ll see you next week with the paper’s new issue on Oct. 16. Happy reading,

Melissa Novacaska
