Welcome back Fanshawe students, staff, faculty and community members to another week and issue of the Interrobang. This week’s paper is filled with a number of news and lifestyles pieces, as well as having a focus on Geek pride culture, since this is out geek themed issue.

The news section for this week also covers a wide range of topics including the big reveal of who your new Fanshawe Student Union (FSU) president will be for the 2018/2019 academic year. The voting was in your hands and the winner will be a reflection of that.

This section also includes a Fanshawe program for women interested in carpentry, where last year it ran as a pilot project and this year it was officially part of the curriculum.

We also have a story about the idea of eSports becoming an Olympic sport, as well as another story of a new nutrition class the Student Wellness Centre is offering. The Interrobang also spoke with Dr. Dianne Saxe, the Environmental Commissioner of Ontario (ECO) as she visited Fanshawe and gave a speech in the city.

As mentioned before, this issue has a number of geek pride stories and something for everyone, including those interested in knowing where the best “geek and nerd” shops are around town.

In the Lifestyles sections, you will find a horror film review, a Fanshawe Music Industry Arts (MIA) guest speaker story, a book review and a review of a popular video game out on the market.

There are also some well thought out opinion pieces as well as a sports section that includes a car review a look at how the London Knights are doing before the playoffs and how the Fanshawe Falcons are doing in multiple sports playoffs.

That’s it for this issue, but the Interrobang team hopes you enjoy digging into these stories and are eager to read even more, when our next issue hits newsstands on March 19. Until then, have a great week!

Happy reading,

Melissa Novacaska
