The Fanshawe Student Union (FSU) is always on its game to help and support mental health awareness.

On March 22, Fanshawe will host a Disney in Paris Charity Ball to support those who are suffering with their mental health. The event will run from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. at Oasis in the Student Centre.

There will be many fun things happening at the event. Students can bring whomever they like, tickets are being sold at the biz booth located across from the Out Back Shack in Forwell Hall.

The dinner will include the options of chicken and beef, as well as vegetarian and gluten free options too so there is an option for everyone.

The tickets are $30 for both dinner and dance or if you would like to just come out and dance and support the cause it will be $10.

FSU Finance Co-ordinator, Lisa Elliott explained the positivity of the upcoming event.

“This is great for students to come out and relax and have some fun, but also to support the charity [Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Middlesex branch].”

There will also be a silent auction and, while Oasis will be making specialty drinks for this event. Students can show up to the event in a Disney costume if they chose, though, it is a formal event.

According to Elliott, this year, the FSU wants to try and hit the goal of $3,000 in donations from the silent auction and tickets that the event brings in, with proceeds going towards CMHA Middlesex.

So come out, support and have fun at Fanshawe's magical Disney night in Paris.
