First year Fine Art student Christen Mulder is a pirate at heart and is currently the very proud captain of The Arrrty Pirates co-ed intramural volleyball team.

1. What is something about you that most people don't know?
I have a weird pseudo-fear of popcorn. I can't stand eating it for fear it will get stuck in my teeth. I try to avoid it, but I will still eat it.

2. If you were on a deserted island and could only bring one item or person with you, what would it be?
I would definitely bring Johnny Depp, as captain Jack Sparrow of course, because he is not only the worlds dreamiest pirate, but he could also lash a couple of sea turtles together and make a raft to get us out of there.

3. What is your greatest indulgence?
I call it the “double-double.” It's not coffee... its two double cheeseburgers at Mickey Dee's. The caloric intake is staggering.

4. What was your favourite television show of all time?
It used to be “Home Improvement” back in the day, but now I absolutely die for “CSI” and “ER.”

5. Who is your favourite band/group/musician?
Journey... Meatloaf... Sublime... Steppenwolf... and Talking Heads!

6. What is the best piece of advice you've ever received?
My dad's advice to me: “Chris, do you know what a penis is?... Stay away from them.”

7. Who is your role model?
My mom. She's the kind of person I want to become.

8. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose to live?
Anywhere on the ocean... maybe the Caribbean.

9. What was your first job?
Working for my dad's landscaping company, installing landscapes at the tender age of eight, maybe. I still work with him... aerating is the way to go!

10. What is your dream job?
I wish I had the strength to become a firefighter and help save lives... or you know, a pirate captain.

11. What would your last meal be?
Chicken cordon bleu, white wine, scalloped potatoes, some fresh bread... and NO veggies!

12. What stresses you out?
Thinking about the future...

13. Do you consider yourself a risk taker? If so, what is the biggest risk you've taken?
I don't take many risks. I would like to though...

14. If you could foresee the outcome of one event or moment in your life, what would it be?
I'm sort of curious about how and when I will die. Every single year we pass the pre-anniversary of the day of our death without realization...

15. What is your favourite drink?
Apple juice, from those big cans...

16. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
My physique... I wish I were taller and more fit.

17. What actor would you choose to play you in a movie?
Christina Ricci... or if I grew-up to be incredibly gorgey: Angelina Jolie.

18. If you could have three wishes fulfilled, what would they be?
1. Become history's most dreaded pirate.
2. Become a respected Canadian artist.
3. World peace

19. Do you believe in love at first sight?
Absolutely.

20. When and where was your last vacation?
Last year we went to Disney's Magic Kingdom in Florida... awesome!
