You are the next... Campus Idol

Campus Idol returns to Fanshawe College March 11 in the Out Back Shack.

The FSU is looking for Fanshawe's best singers to compete in this year's version. The auditions, which are open to all full-time students, begin immediately after the spring break on Tuesday, March 4 and Wednesday, March 5, beginning at 5 p.m. in Forwell Hall.

Auditions will be held for one hour each night; the judges will then contact the finalists on Thursday, March 6. Between eight and 10 students will be chosen to compete in the Campus Idol Final Competition, which takes place on Tuesday, March 11 at the Out Back Shack.

There is no entry fee, but students need to present their student card to enter. Campus Idol is an all ages' access event for Fanshawe students.

The FSU has increased the prize money for this year's finalists, with the Campus Idol winner receiving $200 cash prize and represent Fanshawe at the Ontario Campus Idol finals on Saturday, March 15th at York University. The FSU will also pay the $100 entry fee for this event and supply transportation for the winner and two friends to this provincial competition.

The second place finalist will receive $100 cash and third with $50 cash prize. If you can sing or think you can sing come to the Campus Idol auditions March 4 or 5, who knows, YOU may be representing Fanshawe at the provincial finals in Toronto.
