Fanshawe Filmmakers host open house

If you want to get in on the ground floor of up-and-coming moviemakers, now is the chance.

The premiere screening of several student films showcasing a collaborative effort from multiple programs within The School of Contemporary Media at Fanshawe College will be taking place on April 22, 2008. This event, which will showcase the best in student filmmaking Fanshawe has to offer, is produced in association with the Marriott Inn Residence Hotel, London Downtown.

Four films will be screened that were created for a National Film Board/ iThentic online contest Mobile Stories. Smitten, Infatuated, A Perfect Fit and Keep it Clean are short films that deal with the topic of obsession.

In addition, the Advanced Filmmaking Program is proud to present its winter term narrative short films, Memory Of, Front Desk, Second Chance and Smell the Roses.

The screening will take place Tuesday, April 22, 6 pm to 9 pm in Room T1003 of Fanshawe's London Campus and an after-screening gathering in the ‘Out Back Shack' on campus.

Directors Felicia King, Brandon Frank, Colin Campbell, Neil Slyva, Christopher Trim, Ryan Tyssen, and Sean Gordon, will also be on hand to answer any questions about their films. The night will also include a live performance by students in the Music Industry Arts program, a question and answer and a reception.
