London Police have charged a man in regards to the string of break-ins near UWO and Fanshawe College, where victims would find an intruder watching over them while they slept.

London Police Service Sexual and Child Section have laid 18 charges on 28 year-old London man Timothy Griffin in the investigation, which began in September 2008.

The arrest is a result of numerous reported breaks and enters by females who claimed to have a man watch them as they slept.

Constable Amy Phillipo of London Police advises all women to lock their doors, as the intruder in this case has only entered residences where no lock was evident.

“Speak with your roommates about locking up when the last person leaves or comes home, if living with a bunch of people maybe invest in a lock for your bedroom door and report any suspicious activity to Police immediately,” advised Phillipo.

“Also make sure windows are also locked, hedges and bushes trimmed back, make sure there is ample lighting or sensored lights around your home, any questions about how to make your home more safe people can call the London Police Crime Prevention Officers to get more info.”

Griffin has been charged with nine counts of break and enter and nine counts of voyeurism. The investigation is continuing.
