NFL Czar: Homecoming won't be so sweet for Favre

When it comes to homecomings, most feel it's a time to be happy and reminisce.Yet for most people in Green Bay, Wisconsin they would rather not see the homecoming of Packer legend Brett Favre. Why? Because now he is wearing the purple of the Minnesota Vikings. These long-time division rivals take to the field for the second time this year, and the Pack look to avenge their loss in week four.

This time it will take place in the comfy confines of Lambeau Field. This game presents more than just bragging rights for the teams. The Vikings are looking to stay ahead in the race for the NFC North title.

Key Matchups

1. Brett Favre vs. Green Bay: The former-hero-turned-nemesis will take to the field for the second time against the Packers. This time, he will likely be more fluent in the Minnesota offence, and will look to dominate the Packers again.

2. Adrian Peterson vs. Ryan Grant: Grant has struggled much of the year, but will be pumped up for this game. AP is always ready to play, and will likely continue his recent dominance of the Packers.

3. Atlanta Falcons vs. New Orleans: Totally unrelated to the Packers-Vikings game, but a huge NFC South matchup nonetheless. It will be tough for the Falcons to keep up with the high flying Saints, but the Falcons have done a good job against tough offences all year.

The Rundown

OK, back to the homecoming. The Packers will be fired up to beat on Favre, but I can't pick against the Vikings two weeks in a row. I think Favre and Peterson will run the show, and the Packers will fire back with Aaron Rodgers' passing game. I expect that this will be a shootout. I take the Vikings to win this one, 35-28.

Coming up next week, the biggest surprise in the AFC takes on the team to beat in the conference.
