An Unstoppable party with Rascal Flatts at John Labatt Centre

“It's a real party,” exclaimed lead singer Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts to the 7,600 fans that filled the John Labatt Centre on Thursday January 28.

The band's grand entrance came courtesy of a hydraulic lift with the band breaking into a new single off their Unstoppable album, Summer Nights accompanied by fireworks lighting the stage. LeVox walked down the catwalk to greet fans and at that moment everyone knows they are going to have a great time.

Throughout the show there were many humorous references to the crowd being rowdy Canadians and that Canadians know how to have a good time. Canadian “beer tastes better” LeVox mentioned before slowing down into some of their highly acclaimed ballads. Bless the Broken Road and What Hurts The Most had everyone singing along passionately. But they also kept it light by mixing in jokes about Hannah Montana, while Jay DeMarcus would spin off some piano licks, and guitarist and singer Joe Don Rooney would also rock out with a few riffs.

Gary LeVox of Rascall Flatts hams it up with fans during the bands show at the John Labatt Centre recently. Before a change of mood, band members took the time to explain their work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization that grants the “wishes” of children with terminal or life-threatening conditions.

Rascal Flatts got things moving again with a few more jokes about Canada which did feel a little over done but the violin backer's tribute of O'Canada had everyone on their feet in salute as they sang our national anthem with pride.

Bob That Head got things back in motion and the country trio could then be found down stage at the backend of the JLC, and LeVox was meeting more fans at crowd level. Rascall Flatts truly put on an “unstoppable” show even to the very end encore.

The group covered The Beatles Revolution and Darius Rucker came back on stage to lend a helping hand with Tom Cochrane's Life Is A Highway. It was evident throughout the night that this band really knows how to perform. Later this month they will be celebrating 10 years together at the Musician's Hall of Fame in honour of the 75 Songwriters who have contributed to the band's songbook over the years.
