The fastest growing sport in Canada

The sports of down hill skiing, moguls, aerial skiing, and snowboarding all try to claim the top spot for Canada's top hillside and mountain side sports, but one rising sport stands above the rest in my eyes.

The sport is taboozing.

To call taboozing a sport is a bit of a stretch. A recreational activity would be a better description, but an even better one would be — a really great excuse to get blitzed out of your tree.

The art of taboozing consists of a combination of tobogganing, where individuals hurdle themselves down a snowy hill on wooden or plastic sleds, and consuming alcohol, which is pretty self-explanatory.

People may be thinking, “Wow, tobogganing as a child was always a great time.” Just imagine downing a half case of Heineken, or slamming a 26er of Jack before piling about four of your equally drunk friends on your little brothers sled and bolting down a snowy hill.

Now that could be a vintage moment in the sports history right there.

So if you're bored over the holidays, all you need is a sled and a flask, and you can practice one of the fastest growing sports in Canada, taboozing.
