Wade Barrett defeated WWE Champion Randy Orton by disqualification

On RAW, the night after Bragging Rights, Nexus came out to the ring to start the show. Barrett was angry about not winning the WWE championship like he wanted. Cena had been in Barrett's corner during the title match, but he decided to give Barrett an Attitude Adjustment right in front of the ref, which caused Orton to lose the match, yet hold onto the belt. Barrett demanded that Cena explain himself, and Cena had a clever response. Technically Barrett had only ordered Cena to help him win the match, an order which Cena carried out in his own way. I guess Barrett should have been more specific and said he wanted to win the championship, not just the match. Cena is obviously gonna try to find every loophole he can to screw Nexus over.

Otunga complained to Barrett that Cena should be kicked out of Nexus because he was clearly against them. Barrett decided that Cena and Otunga were not suitable Tag Team Champions and made a match between them and the other members of Nexus, Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater. Otunga's complaining must have annoyed Barrett, as he ordered him to just lie down and get pinned by Slater. This made Slater and Gabriel the new WWE Tag Team Champions. In my opinion, cheap wins like this, with people just lying down, really devalues championships. A belt should have some prestige and respect coming with it.

Bryan defeated Ziggler again, in a Champion vs. Champion rematch. CM Punk was at the commentators table for this match, and Bryan stared at him afterwards. Perhaps this signifies an upcoming feud between Bryan and Punk?

Laycool are still Co-Divas Champions, and they took on Gail Kim and Melina. Hopefully they haven't dropped Natalya from being a contender, because the fact is the Divas belt should really be in her possession.

Toby Keith was the special guest this week, and he was the ring announcer for a match between Sheamus and Santino. The country music star apparently gave Santino some encouragement, and John Morrison came down to ringside to assist Santino, which led to him pinning Sheamus. It makes no sense that Santino would get a win over the Celtic Warrior, as Santino's gimmick has been a complete joke for the past two years or more.

In the main event it was Cena vs. Orton, to figure out who decides the special ref for Barrett's upcoming rematch title shot against Orton. The fight went back and forth until Orton was about to inflict his infamous punt to the head upon Cena. Barrett prevented this by clotheslining Cena and getting Orton disqualified. This caused the Viper to go insane and assault Barrett, until the rest of Nexus ran out to beat him down. Cena got involved as well, choosing to again attack his fellow Nexus. Barrett stopped this and announced that he wanted Cena as the special ref, with the explicit stipulation that Barrett better win the WWE Championship, if not then he would fire Cena on the spot. He threw in something for Cena though, stating that Cena would be freed from all Nexus duties if he helped Barrett become champ.
