Aware of our air
The Joint Health and Safety
Committee are continuing their
safety awareness campaign by
introducing two new "Aware of
Our Air" posters. The goal of this
campaign is to remind the College
community that there are a number
of people who are sensitive to
scented products.
Scented products include: shampoos, hairsprays, deodorants and aftershaves, fragrances, perfumes, lotions and creams. The following adverse health effects may be experienced by someone who is sensitive to these products:
- headaches
- dizziness
- nausea
- fatigue
- upper respiratory problems
- shortness of breath
- skin irritation
- anxiety
- eye irritation
In consideration of these people, please refrain from using scented products while at College facilities. If you have any questions about scent sensitivities please contact any London Campus JHSC member or Health and Safety Services in D1021
