Stacey Cress is first year business marketing student. "I am a mom of my two little ladies. I enjoy reading, music and spending time with my family. I am so excited to be here at Fanshawe, gearing up to do what I love!"

1. Why are you here?
I am here to finally do what I love! I have always wanted to go into marketing and now I am.

2. What was your life-changing moment?
I was fed up with working at fast food restaurants and didn't want it to be the story of my life. I want to set an example for my kids and show them that anything is possible.

3. What music are you currently listening to?
Right now, I am hooked on Marianas Trench. I listen to their CD every day when I commute from Ingersoll.

4. What is the best piece of advice you've ever received?
"It's up to you." I know it sounds cheesy, but eventually in life you realize that everything is a choice made only by you.

5. Who is your role model?
My mother. She was a single mom who went to college and graduated with honours. She showed me that it can be done.

6. Where in the world have you traveled?
I have actually been to Bolivia. In high school, I won a full scholarship with the Rotary Youth Exchange Program and I lived there for six months with a host family.

7. What was your first job?
Tim Hortons. I was 16 and just moved to Southern Ontario. The owner of the store happened to be running the theatre camp I was involved in.

8. What would your last meal be?
Perogie casserole. It's my mom's signature dish. Very tasty.

9. What makes you uneasy?
Not knowing.

10. What is your passion?
Music. I love everything about it. I love that it can be so expressive. I love that it can be the best therapy. I can sit down and strum away on my guitar, and the stress just goes away. I love singing with my kids and getting them involved as well.
