The Heel Turn: Abyss' disguise fools everybody but the viewers

TNA recently began a storyline that involves Abyss being missing since his brutal Monster's Ball match against Bully Ray a number of weeks ago. Nobody knows where the monster is, but a man calling himself Joseph Parks and claiming to be Abyss's brother showed up at the Impact Zone to investigate. He questioned several wrestlers, including tag team partners Matt Morgan and Crimson. Not one of them could tell that this “Joseph Parks” was merely Abyss himself dressed in a suit, minus the mask and sporting a clean-cut look.

It should be interesting to see where they take this storyline, but I think Abyss would have been better used in the match involving Gunner and Kurt Angle vs. Garrett Bischoff and a partner of his choosing. The Immortal heels were so convinced that Garrett would never be able to find a tag partner; just imagine the shock on their faces if Abyss had suddenly resurfaced to assist Garrett in his fight against Immortal.

Instead they had Jeff Hardy teaming up with Garrett, a continued push that Hardy does not currently deserve. This is leading up to Hardy's match against Angle at the upcoming Victory Road pay-per- view, and hopefully the Charismatic Enigma shows up in better condition than he was last year.

Eric Bischoff is getting some heat for allegedly making some uncalled-for remarks about Jeremy Borash. It's unclear yet whether this is just some Twitter angle, but some TNA wrestlers such as Brutus Magnus did not hesitate to defend J.B. and his value to TNA. If this is Bischoff's real opinion, he might want to watch his mouth, as many fans feel that TNA would be so much better without his presence poisoning the company, as it did to WCW.

There has been another controversy involving Hulk Hogan. This time it seems that there is a leaked sex tape featuring him with an unknown woman that he can't quite remember. According to the Hulkster, this video was shot a few years back during a time that his marriage had fallen apart and he was lost in a cycle of partying and strange women. Hogan's ex-wife Linda is apparently interested in seeing the tape, with the intention of trying to prove her allegations that Hogan cheated on her. It sounds more like she is just trying to drain more money out of Hogan. I'm not one of the Hulkster's biggest fans, but even I feel for the guy and how he's spent his whole life in the wrestling business only to see his wife take most of his assets. Considering that Linda Hogan ended up shacking up with a 19-year-old guy who was friends with their kids Nick and Brooke, it should seem obvious who the guilty party was in the cheating department.
