The New Music Series at Fanshawe continues to bring big Canadian singer/songwriters to Fanshawe; this time with Ontario-raised Fefe Dobson who will be appearing at the Shack on Friday, September 16.

Fefe DobsonFefe is promoting her sophmore album, Sunday Love, which contains the new single “Don't Let it Get to Your Head” as well as a handful of post-breakup songs about love, hate and everything in between.

For the new album, Fefe collaborated with Cyndi Lauper and Joan Jett during the early stages.

Another of Fefe's influences, Courtney Love, even gave her some advice on giving the album some edge.

“I had this really great moment where she invited me over to her rehersal space, and she was like, ‘Fefe, what we need is women to stand up and not take any fucking shit.' At first I was like, ‘Okayyyyy,' but then I was listening to her and I was like, ‘Hell yeah, I should celebrate that I have tits and guys bow down to us because we're powerful.'”

Fefe will be playing in the Shack at 9pm this Friday, Sept. 16. There is no cover, so come early!
