Music can set the tone of any mood and can intensify both positive and negative emotions. Love songs especially have this effect. There are thousands of wonderful loves songs that make you fall in love all over again. With Valentine's Day just around the corner there is no better time to listen to some cute and romantic tunes that make you feel all sorts of emotions.

1. R&B/ Rap

Some may think that a lot of love related rap and hip-hop songs talking about being cheated on or break ups. Which to an extent is true but, there are plenty of surprisingly romantic love songs. For example, Kendrick Lamar ft. Zacari's “Love”, Future “Incredible”, Rihanna's “Love On The Brain”, Kanye West ft. Charlie Wilson's “Bound 2”, and Gucci Mane ft. Monica “We Ride” are just a few great rap and hip hop love songs.

2. Classic Rock

When it comes to classic rock, there are so many options for love songs. The Beatles alone have enough for a whole playlist, a few highlights include “I Wanna Hold Your Hand”, “Something”, “All You Need is Love” and “P.S I Love you”. Some other great classic rock loves songs to add to your playlist includes: Queen's “Somebody to Love, Led Zeppelin's “Whole Lotta Love”, The Rolling Stones' “Wild Horses” and Queen's “Love of My Life”.

3. Pop

When you think of romantic pop songs one artist probably jumps out right away. Ed Sheeran has some of the cutest love songs. “Hearts Don't Break Around Here”, “Perfect”, “Thinking Out Loud”, “Tenerife Sea” and “Photograph” is the short list of some of his best love songs. Although Ed Sheeran reigns as king of the pop love songs, there is an abundance of great sings from other well known artists. Lana Del Rey's “Love”, Harry Styles' “Sweet Creature”, Miley Cyrus' “Adore You”, and One Direction' “ Little Things” are some great options too.

4. Throwbacks

Taylor Swift's Fearless album debut had so many loves songs that any tween could relate to. “You Belong With Me”, “Fearless”, “Hey Stephen”, “The Way You Loved Me”, and how could anyone forget “Love Story”? Beyonce's “Love on Top”, “03 Bonnie and Clyde” and “Crazy in Love” also bring you back. Some iconic '90s songs you may want to add includes: Whitney Houston's “I Will Always Love You”, Celine Dion' “My Heart Will Go On”, Sixpence None The Richer “ Kiss Me”, and Backstreet Boys “As Long As You Love Me”.
