Some oldies, some goodies and some great ways to waste time
Hey, everyone! Hope things are running smooth for ya'll in this month so far. To pass the time and relieve some stress, here's some more great sites to check out. Here comes the goodness:
Helicopter Game (http://www.wontonway.com/computers/copter.html) — There's really nothing to explain about this site. It's simply a game that has you maneuvering a helicopter through a cavern. It sounds simplistic but it's so addictive. Something like this game is perfect for a procrastinator when they're in front of a computer. Be warned! I shared this site last year and I'm still playing the damn thing!
Dude Studios (http://www.dudestudios.com) — If you're a fan of flash animation or if you're a Star Wars fan, you'll definitely want to check this stuff out. All the current Star Wars movies have been interpreted in the “dude world” and are a joy to watch. Attack of the Dude (Clones) is being still being worked on and I'm anxiously awaiting Episode 3. There's so much good stuff on here that I wish I knew how to animate like this. Oh, I've wasted my life…
www.Stupidvideos.com — Holy shit! There are A LOT of videos on this site. Ranging from the weirdest stuff (wait, those are on some pay adult sites) all the way to the most stupid things that people find amusing. This site will take you longer to go through than the aforementioned site. Web video fanatics, you can now have your fix.
www.campchaos.com — I'm not sure if I've listed this one before, so I'll mention it anyway. If you've seen any of those Anti-Metallica videos during the Napster fiasco, odds are they came from Camp Chaos. Lots of flash animations and more are on this site.
www.download.com — This site is excellent because you can nab so much free software legally! Personal faves are the Zone Alarm firewall program and Pop Up Stopper (which I think is the best pop up blocker available for FREE on the net).
www.ugo.com — You can lots of time on this site because there's everything from comics to music to video games. There are interviews, reviews and previews of lots and lots of stuff and I'm sure that there's something for everyone here.
