Pete's Links: Sites for the New Year

Happy New Year to all! Actually, it doesn't really seem that new, but I guess we're all back to work and (somewhat) ready to go. That doesn't mean we can't distract ourselves with that wonderful Internet (unless you've made a resolution to spend less time on it). Here we go!

Worst video games of 2007-Vol. 1

I guess this is going to be the first in a series of links over the next month that showcases some of the Best and Worst of the year lists. I figure that some gamers may have a laugh at this list and I feel really sorry for those of you who were subjected to any of these games. I don't know how any of you can watch “Deal or No Deal” and I absolutely think those who would enjoy playing the video game to probably least intelligent human beings on the planet (well, except for some of the world leaders…but that's a whole other can of worms).

About.com's Heavy Metal reviews

You know, I come across this site every now and then but I never bookmark it…that is, until last week. Chad Bower's short and sweet reviews seem to be spot on most of the time (cough...like mine). He usually lists his top five metal albums of the month and they usually range from well-known releases to some obscure ones. Damn...thanks to November's column, I'm picking up the new Severe Torture disc. It's not too shabby!

Visit to Rancho Obi-Wan Relaxo

SWEET F@CKING A$$CRACKERS! Steve Sansweet is one hell of a Star Wars collector. I love collecting the standard sized figures (although I haven't bought any in like two years…thanks, student loans), but this collection is just amazing. Join Steve as he goes through some of his collection that's located on an old chicken ranch that he bought and turned into a museum of Star Wars collectibles and nostalgia. If I ever won a couple million dollars, I'd do this…and help feed the poor. Remember…this is only part one.

I guess to wrap this edition up, here's a link for the hardcore nerd boys that crave the women who like some of the more nerdy pleasures in life and hot women that will partake in their science fiction realm (wait...am I included in that grouping?). Have a laugh, have a cry and then pound a few.
