Pete's Links: Burgers and videos and horoscopes, oh my

I can't believe it's February. Where has the time gone? Oh yeah...wasted on the Internet. Here are a couple sites that will give you some laughs and perhaps some insight into your year ahead.

Whopper Freakout
www.doubleviking.com (type in “Whopper Freakout”)
Yes, we've seen the commercials when select Burger King restaurants told customers that they didn't sell the Whopper anymore and the customers got angry, but you haven't seen the “Ghetto” version.

Watch these men plead, swear and threaten drive through employees. I know it's fake, but it's funny. Make sure you search the whole site for a lot more funny videos. It seems like sites like this are now a dime a dozen on the net.

Romeorhino's Youtube page
(Go to YouTube and type in his name)
This guy's page is awesome. If you like Mystery Science Theater 3000 (you know, the show where the two robots and their human companion watch old B-movies and talk humorously all the way through), then you'll appreciate what this guy is trying to do. Romeorhino takes really old public service shorts and has his way with them. Make sure to check out “The Snob” and “Keeping Clean and Neat.”

Astral Reflections Horoscopes
http://www.astralreflections.com
I don't think I've plugged this site yet this year, but I will now because of how people are trying to make their lives better for the New Year (or perhaps they have already failed miserably). This site has really neat horoscopes as well as forecasts for your year in the departments of love, luck and karma. If you like reading these things, this is an excellent site.

Adult Swim's Game Page
www.adultswim.com/games/index.html
You know, it really amazes me seeing how far flash games (or games in general over the internet) have come. I remember trying to get pictures from sites using a 14.4k modem! I remember games with a fraction of these graphics on my Commodore 64! Now, here in 2008, we have amazing technology. How do we use it? To make these sick and twisted games that only Adult Swim fans could enjoy! Play the strategic “Kill yourself in five minutes,” “Bible fight” (think Mortal Kombat, but with Bible heroes) and “VIVA CALIGULA!” If you get offended easily, don't play these...or watch any of Adult Swim's TV shows
