Hate your class schedule? Crying over your girlfriend dumping you? Pissed cause the buses are never on time?

Now you have somewhere to air your grievances for two minutes.

The Voice, a glorified bitch-booth a la Speaker's Corner, will be on campus for four weeks starting on Monday, September 15 in D-Junction.

The camera and sound equipped booth is a pilot project sponsored by the FSU and Fanshawe College so they can better serve the students of Fanshawe.

“We wanted to better understand students and to make Fanshawe a better place for them throughout the school year,” said Fanshawe Student Union president, Jon Hillis, who, along with the FSU executive, came up with the idea to implement The Voice.

The Voice is free for all students and staff of the college and the first week, while it is in D Junction, the machine will ask two specific questions; “Why did you choose Fanshawe College” and “What was your favourite part of Orientation and Frosh weeks?”

Each week The Voice will be moved to various locations across the campus and will be asking students different questions.

The cost of The Voice, as a pilot project, is $2,500, with 50 per cent covered by the student tech fee, 25 per cent by the college and 25 per cent by the Student Union.

According to Hillis, if The Voice responds well with students the participating parties will look into buying the machine for a cost of $16,000.

All videos will be screened for content by administration and aired on fsu.ca and if The Voice is a regular staple around the college, Hillis said they would look into airing the best content on Fanshawe TV.
