Bursaries are officially done at Fanshawe College this term. Don't worry, though. There will be plenty next year, which you'll be able to apply like mad to, which I'm sure you all will. To tide you over though — take a look at some external awards and scholarship sites, such as www.studentawards.com.

After a quick introduction, the site will provide you with a list of awards, scholarships, and whatever else that may apply to you. You can read up on any of them, and decide from there if you want to go through and apply for it. And why wouldn't you? Free money is awesome, in case you didn't know — so go check it out when you have the chance.

On a less serious and completely different note, I've come to realize that I hate shopping for clothes. This is probably due largely to the fact that I'm partially colourblind. I've grown up with it, and it doesn't really affect my life that much — until I start dealing with clothes. I have no idea what looks good by itself, or what looks good together. It boggles my mind how I can be so clueless about something that I get so angry and frustrated when I have to go buy clothes.

I used to have people buy clothes for me. That was a bad idea. Enough said.

I normally have this ingenious plan on how to look dapper despite obvious setbacks. Pants are always beige, such as basic corduroys, or slacks, or blue jeans. Undershirts are black, white or grey. That way, I can wear whatever the shit I want as a shirt, and I should be fine. Dark shirt? Beige pants. Light shirt? Blues jeans. It's FLAWLESS. Unless, of course, you can't tell the difference between blue and purple.

Anyway, back on track. Since I don't know what I look like when I put on my clothes, why I even bother to try them on before I buy them is beyond me. That's why I bring someone along to judge everything I think might look nice. Regardless, I'm persistently miserable when I shop, and anyone who dares step up to the plate to help fear my irrational wrath. Apologies to Sydney, John and Kevin.

But the more I think about this whole thing, I get the idea that maybe I just hate making menial decisions. Not just clothes, but everything else. Plate or bowl? Spoon or fork? Pulp or no pulp? Beef or chicken? Honey Nut Cheerios or Just Right? Alphaghetti or Zoodles? White or whole wheat? Granny Smith or Red Delicious? Red seedless or GREEN seedless?!

Maybe I just hate food shopping too.

You have to keep your wits about you when you make decisions. If you don't think beforehand, you'll just end up with something you don't want. What I wouldn't do for a Granny Smith apple right now.
