Valentine's Day is quickly approaching. Get inspired with these "day of love" looks.

Valentine’s Day is slowly approaching us in a few weeks and all we can think about is all the discounted chocolate that’s going to be on sale the next day. On a real note, most of us are really thinking about what we are going to wear for Valentine’s or Galentine’s Day. It is always a struggle to find the right outfit for a night out say if you have a date or just a girls night out. I am here to share some outfit ideas for the special day if you’re going on a date or a night with the gals.

1. Casual outfit

For this look, a pair of high-waisted jeans, a simple light coloured blouse and either a cardigan or a simple black leather jacket is great. You can pair this look with some flats, heels or simple ankle boots in nude/beige.

The makeup look also can be more on the natural side with some lashes, a nude lip with a hint of pink and a rose blush. There are many ways to style a simple makeup look; it’s all up to you how you want to do it.

Now for the hair, for a simple casual look would be great to have some light curly/ waves with the hair down. For accessories, you can pair any kind of earrings, a simple necklace, but nothing too flashy. Again it’s all up to you how you want to dress up your casual look. This outfit is great if you are going out more in the day and do not want to do so much in the look until the evening time and you can take it off easily or you can switch it up from day to night makeup.

2. Dinner outfit

For the dinner outfit, you might want to dress it up more and try something different. The usual Valentine’s Day dinner outfit is when you want to shine for your date or just with the girls. A mini-strap black dress is one to wear or you can also go with a red dress and something that hugs you nicely.

The shoes that would go well with this outfit would be some black heels. You can either have open toe heels or closed toe heels. For the accessories, some big stud earrings would look amazing with this outfit and a little necklace and a clutch purse if you need to touch up your makeup as well as keep your belongings safe. Lastly, the makeup look would be an evening look so you would want to do some kind of smoky eye with a hint of red cut crease eyes and for lips, I would go for a bolder colour like red to make your lips pop.

3. Party outfit

The last look is for a Valentine’s Day party. You can really dress up however you’d like to feel at a party. You can go in something casual laid back or go full out dressed up. High waisted jeans can really go with any look if you pair it with a sparkle tank top tucked in the jeans with some heels or heeled boots. If you were to wear a dress you can go with a either a black mini dress with think straps or a red dress with some thigh high heeled boots.

The makeup should be popping with a cut smoky eye crease, lashes and a bold red lips. For accessories, some hoop earrings and a choker necklace and a clutch bag to keep your personal items safe is best. Lastly hair, some nice lose curls with the hair down is one way to wear it or you can have it straighten tied up in a high ponytail to show off your gorgeous face.
